Upper Level Thinking (ULT) is the Georgia Center for Academic Excellence’s state-funded program. ULT is an esteem-based, after-school tutoring program focused on raising students’ critical thinking abilities. This program meets four times per week. A typical week for a ULT student looks like this:
- Two days a week, students will complete project-based learning activities and STEM competition exercises.
- One day a week, students will complete enrichment opportunities, including:
- Anti-bullying seminars
- Internet safety lessons
- Social media posting advice (what they should and shouldn’t be posting)
- One day a week, students will enjoy at least 30 minutes of physical activity, such as Zumba classes.
