Transition to High School for rising 9th-grade students.
(These students would have access to Drone Robotics or Raspberry Pi (Building and Programming a Computer)
2-week camp to provide resources to students to aid in the transition to high school
- Introduction to high school course requirements and grade level progression
- Learn study skills with time management techniques
- Career interest assessment & guest speakers from various career fields
- College exploration, including high school timeline of preparation tasks
- Cookout celebration to wrap up the session
Introduction to Web Coding
- Laptops provided (if needed)
- Limited to 20 students per session (first come, first served)
2 Sessions:
- June 7 – June 18: Monday – Friday (2 hours per day)
- June 21 – July 2: Monday – Friday (2 hours per day)
Drone Robotics:
- Each participant receives a drone
- Students will learn block coding.
- Laptops provided (if needed)
- Limited to 35 students per session (first come, first served)
Two Sessions:
- June 7 – June 18: Monday – Friday (2 hours per day)
- June 21 – July 2: Monday – Friday (2 hours per day)
Raspberry Pi Computing
(Student would actually build, code, and debug an actual computer)
- All necessary materials (minus laptop) will be mailed to students.
- Laptop available (if needed)
- Limited to 10 students per session
Two Sessions:
- June 7 – June 18: Monday – Friday (2 hours per day)
- June 21 – July 2: Monday – Friday (2 hours per day)
SAT Summer Camp
Students will be working under the guidance of an instructor who scored a perfect on the SAT.
Learn SAT strategies and beef up some of your knowledge in math, vocabulary, and reading comprehension as it appears on SAT. In addition to SAT strategies, students will also receive remediation.
- Students will also be able to connect with a live tutor in under 30 seconds for over 300 subjects – 24 hours a day.
